On April 17, 2004, at the 127th University Council Meeting, the establishment of the Center for General Education was approved. In its early stages, the Center’s operations were overseen and promoted by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jin-Yu Dong, followed by his successor, Dr. Lien-Kang Tsai.
